 What is the present continuous? 

Is the action that is happening in the same moment that  are speaking. ( Es la acción que está ocurriendo en el mismo momento en que estamos hablando)..

Use the present continuous to speak about something happening now, at this moment.( Usa el presente continous para hablar acerca de algo que está ocurriendo ahora, en este momento).

  Example:

• In this moment I writing in the blog. (En este momento yo estoy escribiendo en este blog.)

• Now you are cheking and reaading this blog. ( Ahora tú estas revisando y leyendo este blog.lll

More example:

I’m talking                      (Estoy hablando.)

He’s eating                      .(Está comiendo.)

They’re learning            .(Están aprendiendo.)  Recuerda:

Para formar oraciones en presente continuous siempre tienes que usar el verbo to be( am, is, are) y aumentar al verbo principal el ING.

•  I       AM        STUDYING        IN THIS MOMENT.

        to be         verbo
                        principal+ ING 

(Yo estoy estudiando en este momento)

• MY PARENTS       ARE          COOKING  THE LUCH

                                        to be              verb. 
                                                        principal+ING

( tú ya sabes como hacer las oraciones afirmativas, las negativas y las interrogativas. No olvides que en las interrogativas primero se escribe el verb to be. Te dejo este cuadrito para que recuerdes)

My friend Mathew has a very hectic life. For starters, he has three jobs. In the morning he works as a teacher, in the afternoon as a taxi driver and at night as a singer. Mathew wakes up at 4 am, he takes a shower, gets dressed and goes to school. He doesn’t have time for breakfast at home so he has breakfast at school. Mathew teaches 5th grade. He loves children so enjoys his work.

At 12:30 Mathew always has lunch with his coworkers. Then he goes to his father’s house to pick up his father’s taxi and begins working as a taxi driver. He is a good driver and likes talking to passengers about politics and sports. Mathew has a rock band; at night the band plays some music at a local bar. After singing for two hours, he goes back home, has dinner and watches a little TV.

Mathew’s wife is pregnant; so he will quit two of his jobs soon. He wants to share a lot of time with his family in the future.
